Please note: These fonts were originally "bitmap" fonts designed for onscreen use, such as website design and Flash work. Thanks to the help of Frank Jonen, they are now available as OpenType font files. You can now use them at any size, but they will, of course, retain their "pixel-ness". They will probably look best at their original point sizem, or multiples of that size./p>
McMurdo Bold 7 Pt. Download: OpenType Font
This is a chunky and modern 7 pt. font design with several futuristic touches here and there. This is a full 256-character set font. 100% complete.
eWorlder Headline 12 Pt. Download: OpenType Font
This is a 12 pt. font based on the typeface used for headlining in Apple's now-defunct eWorld online service. I designed it to try to capture the feel of that font (which was itself a direct derivative of Helvetica Narrow), whilst shortening the height from 14 pts. It contains the alphabet, all punctuation and numerals, but is missing several more esoteric glyphs. 90% complete.
Sounds |
Please note: Sound files are now provided as AIFF files, which is the default sound file format for OS X. The older so-called "System 7 Sound" double-clickable format is unfortunately no longer supported under X. The AIFF format will allow you to use these sounds as system alerts. Simply place the AIFF files in the Home>Library>Sounds folder to make them available to the system.
